Create people profiles, then use the people block components to display and filter the information.
People
Drupal: Create or edit a People profile
People profiles can be viewed in the “Content” admin view. Select the “People” tab to see all profiles.
Create a People profile
- Select “Add person”
- Display Name is the only required field
- Usually, this is the person’s full name
- Select the “Hide page title” option to eliminate the duplicate names at the top of the person page
- First Name
- Last Name
- Image: 688 x 688 crop size (pixels)
- Title: List each title separately
- Blurb
- Limit to 1-2 short sentences
- The blurb appears on people cards, list, and filter/search, but not the table
- Full bio and other features are added to the page as content blocks
- Link
- Includes: URL, link text, link style (secondary or external)
- Phone
- Address: Include returns after each line (street, building, etc.)
- Social Links: Select “Add Icon Link” to add each platform individually
- Includes: URL, link text, icon class code
- Icon class codes are available in the FontAwesome library. Add the HTML code for the platform. Common codes:
- fa-brands fa-facebook
- fa-brands fa-instagram
- fa-brands fa-x-twitter
- fa-brands fa-linkedin
- fa-brands fa-youtube
- Person Units: Use as a filter
- Not displayed on the bio page, card block and list block
- This filter field can be custom labeled in the search block and table block
- Person Roles: Use as a filter
- Not displayed on the bio page, card block and list block
- This filter field can be custom labeled in the search block and table block
- Person Tags: Use as a filter
- Not displayed on the bio page, card block and list block
- This filter field can be custom labeled in the search block and table block
- Select “Save” to create the People profile and page
- To make changes to the above information, expand the “Data” section of the person page
- Use theme blocks to add content (for example full bios, quotes, photos)
Edit a People profile
- Find the person in the list and select “Edit”
- Expand the “Data” section to edit basics (headshot, name, title, contact info, units/roles/tags)
- Edit the additional content in the theme blocks on the page
- Remember to select “Save” to publish the changes
